Eyes Tell All
by Shoshana Weaver
Eyes can sparkle in excitement,
burn in anger,
drop in modesty,
skitter in anxiety,
flash in pain,
glaze in boredom,
leak in sorrow,
widen in surprise,
close in shame,
droop in exhaustion,
or wrinkle in worry.
They can be deep and blue as the ocean,
cold and blue as ice,
mysterious and gray as fog,
dark and black as night,
dull and brown as mud,
warm and brown as chocolate,
glittery and hazel as flecks of gold,
tranquil and green as a pool,
or hard and green as greed.
The eyes are symbols of emotion
and windows to the soul.
Now, though, thanks to some design and web training, I was able to go even further and bring the poem to life in a whole new way. Unfortunately, while the gif works when it’s in Google Slides, it doesn’t as an image, so you’ll have to use your imagination a bit. Other than that, though, this is everything I hoped it would be.

And how the eye is supposed to look:
